Southwestern Colorado Turkey Hunts
Private Ranch Turkey Hunts
You will have the opportunity to hunt over 700 acres of private ground with a great Merriam's population. Our ranch has several types of habitat including riparian river bottom, agricultural fields, western cedar thickets with sparse pinon pine trees.
This is a fully guided turkey hunt with varied tactics. Spring turkey hunts usually involve calling; and our professional guides are experienced at calling in big toms for our clients!
Merriam Turkey Hunts
If you choose to book your Turkey hunt with us, you will be hunting in GMU 741 just outside of Breen Colorado along the La Plata River. This area of SW Colorado has vast rolling hills and mountains loaded with western cedar and pinon pine, several river bottoms intersect the mesas that sweep down from the San Juan Mountains which serve as the magnificent backdrop for our hunts. This area has the amazing remains of prior civilizations that hunted this area hundreds of years ago; if you tag out early, you can spend time in historic Durango with its many mountain town activities, or you can explore and hike around Mesa Verde National Park, one of the most amazing places in North America. Clients can also combo their turkey hunt with Heads Up Fly Fishing, one of Colorado/New Mexico's premier Fly Fishing Operations. Fish the Famed Animas and San Juan Rivers for giant brown and rainbow trout.
